Last year, the D3 team attended the UK Search Awards as finalists in 5 categories for our work with client Traveline Cymru on a campaign to promote their myhealthjourney information service.
We had an incredible evening at the awards ceremony at the Park Plaza Hotel, London, celebrating with our fellow nominees. It was our first opportunity since the start of the pandemic to talk with like-minded industry experts in one big room. And since the ceremony, we’ve continued to go from strength to strength…
Who are D3?
We’re a Cardiff based digital marketing agency that specialises in taking a data driven approach to decision making. Founded by award-winning PPC specialist Kate Horsington in 2019, we’re now working with clients from across the transport, financial services and food industries (and beyond!).
Our services include PPC management and automation, social campaigns and research, staff training and decision-making analytics. We pride ourselves on putting our clients first and tailoring these services to best suit their needs.
What do we stand for?
We believe we’re different to other digital marketing agencies. We don’t bamboozle our clients with buzzwords, promise things that aren’t deliverable, or charge for services that aren’t needed.
Instead, using an analytical, mathematical and behavioural science approach to marketing, we help our clients make sure their budget is being spent in the right places. And taking the time to build a relationship with our clients to ensure we’re delivering the best service possible for them is at the core of what we do.
What have the UK Search Awards meant to us?
The awards were a great opportunity for us to showcase the work we do and celebrate all the other fantastic nominees from across the industry. We were over the moon to be attending as finalists in the following 5 categories for our work with client Traveline Cymru:
- Best Small Agency
- Best Use of Search (Travel/Leisure) PPC
- Best Use of Search (Health)
- Best Use of Search (Third Sector/Non for Profit)
- Best Small Budget Campaign
Set against the backdrop of essential travel restrictions due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we delivered PPC and Social campaigns across Google, YouTube and Facebook to promote their myhealthjourney public transport information service. The campaign hit over 1 million impressions and nearly 12,000 clicks, surpassing both our and the client’s expectations.
Whilst there were no wins for us on the night, for an agency in its infancy to be nominated in 5 high profile categories is a massive achievement. The judges also gave us invaluable feedback on how to enhance our submissions, which we took on board and implemented in our submission to the UK Paid Media Awards. And we’re delighted to say we’ve been shortlisted in the ‘Travel/Leisure Campaign of the Year’ award category!
Since the awards, we’ve also taken on new clients including diet supplement business Keto-Pro. We were tasked with re-structuring and optimising Keto-Pro’s Google Ads account just 3 weeks before Black Friday. Against a tight timescale with significant financial implications, we conducted a full account analysis to inform the new structure and deployed the campaigns to deliver impressive results. The business has now doubled its total account revenue year-on-year against a 30% reduction in market size and is expanding into worldwide markets.
What’s happening for us next?
The awards gave us the confidence and platform to expand our service offering, so much so that we’ve submitted several entries to the European Search Awards including our work with Keto-Pro. Between these submissions and our shortlisting for the UK Paid Media Awards, 2022 has kicked off with a bang for the D3 team.
