Who are No Brainer? We’re a leading Search-driven Content Agency!

Based in the north-west, but supporting brands nationwide, our team at No Brainer is a collective of creative Digital PR, SEO and Content Marketing experts, and through fantastic partnerships with our clients, we deliver compelling SEO campaigns backed by data, know-how, and meaningful, creative, content.

We’re proud to have Taking Care on our client roster – the company provides an award-winning service, specialising in 24-hour monitoring for elderly and vulnerable people. They help provide peace of mind to their customers and their customer’s loved ones.

For the second year running, we’re delighted to be nominated for our work with Taking Care by the UK Search Awards – in two categories!

Being shortlisted in two categories really is testament to the effort of the whole team over this year – and to the success of our audience-first approach. And, of course, an amazing client that has faith in us to deliver campaigns that make an impact.

About our project with Taking Care

Taking Care initially came to us with some big ambitions, and we worked with them to smash a whole range of these targets. But we’re always looking for ways to go bigger, and better, and that’s been a huge focus over the past 12 months, with a primary emphasis on driving a higher volume of quality web traffic as well as increasing our list of page one search rankings.

The healthcare market is highly competitive, but from a search perspective, it’s important to tread carefully. That’s why we invested plenty of time up-front to understand the ongoing dynamics and moving parts of the company; the industry, and importantly, their target audience – bringing all of that to life through our unique Intelligent Insights report to define our SEO & Content Strategy work.

We worked closely with our lovely client to ensure our objectives were clear and measurable – then set to work!

First, we refined and refreshed existing audience data, created personas, and narrowed things down to two key target audiences. This helped shape tone of voice, structure, and the positioning of the content we wanted to create.

Building on our personas, we focused on the technical foundations of our SEO strategy and made some UX improvements, including the blog page structure to ensure a ‘happy and informed user experience’.

The aim was to make sure our content resonated with our audiences as well as ranking highly in SERPs. We used highly detailed and targeted content briefs to produce carefully crafted articles that was rooted in SEO, but also resonated with our target audience’s intent. The highest quality content help solidify Taking Care as a ‘trusted source’ for guidance and advice on personal alarms for the elderly. Crucially, it successfully directed an increasing amount of relevant and high-quality traffic to the Taking Care website.

With our strategy and approach in place, we were able to deliver some fantastic results:

  • Sessions jumped a massive +74% year on year, surpassing our initial target.
  • We achieved page-one rankings for 33 out of 37 targeted terms, translating to an impressive 97% success rate.
  • A huge 65% of terms we were aiming to rank for now have a spot on the first page.

Visibility has continued to climb since we’ve been working with Taking Care, further reinforcing the long-term impact of our efforts.

Getting shortlisted for the UK Search Awards 2023 is a great way to celebrate the hard work of our team, as well as the fantastic team at Taking Care.

John Swaffield, Digital and Multi-Channel Marketing Manager at Taking Care had this to say about our work together: “We’re thrilled to be named finalists for the UK Search Awards for the second year running – this recognition reflects the success of our ongoing partnership with No Brainer and a desire to keep up the momentum from our first year working together.

“No Brainer’s cutting-edge SEO expertise, coupled with a jointly devised content strategy that prioritises our audience’s needs, has been instrumental in driving higher organic traffic.

“The team are always pushing us to innovate and improve and are a natural extension of the Taking Care team.”

Laura Rudd, Head of SEO at No Brainer said, “To be confirmed as finalists for the second-year running is a huge credit to our amazing team, and of course, our wonderful clients too (it’s always a collaborative effort).”

“At No Brainer, we are extremely passionate about what we do – but what sets us apart is how we craft our robust audience-first strategies, then how we deliver them with a blend of technical know-how and creative insights.

“We have our own unique approach to content to ultimately drive impactful results for our clients. And we’re always looking for ways to go bigger and better.

“I’m extremely proud of our team. To be acknowledged by fellow experts and industry peers really is the dream!”
