No Brainer Agency help with TakingCare of the elderly and vulnerable in 2022
We’re No Brainer, an audience-first digital PR, SEO and Content agency, and we’re absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted in four categories at the UK Search Awards 2022.
We entered these awards because we’re incredibly proud of the ongoing work we’ve been doing with our brilliant client, TakingCare, during 2022 and we think that being finalists in four separate award categories is both recognition and validation of the effort of the whole team over this year – and to the success of our audience-first approach.
About our project with TakingCare
We started working with TakingCare in March this year, to help them break new ground with their digital marketing efforts in a way that is both impactful and long-lasting. With 2022 having big online sales targets to hit, we knew that an integrated approach would bring the best results for the business.
As the UK’s leading private provider of personal alarms for the elderly, TakingCare have helped more than 180,000 people feel safer at home, when out and about and living independently. Playing an important role in keeping the elderly and vulnerable safe, living in their own homes and providing peace of mind for them and their loved ones, TakingCare is a brand we’ve been really excited to partner with. Building a close working relationship with them is central to what we do at No Brainer and key to successfully meeting and exceeding business objectives.
Working very closely with the internal team at TakingCare, we leveraged extensive research, audience insights and competitor analysis to develop a strategy that incorporates SEO, Content and Digital PR, with the objective of boosting online sales, along with increasing organic traffic and brand visibility.
Our audience-first approach means that we delved deeply into potential customers and their buying journey, as well as absorbing ourselves in the market within which TakingCare operates and their competitive landscape. Refining and refreshing existing audience data and insights, we developed two new key personas, which helped us establish the optimum news outlets and content positioning that these targets best engage with.
All of our research and insight fed into the creation of our audience-first SEO and content strategies that prioritised useful content, designed for every stage of the buyer journey and centred around search intent at various steps. Alongside this, digital PR and link building activity worked in synergy to assist with organic authority, traffic growth and increased brand trust.
Technical SEO fixes and UX adjustments were implemented in several areas of the website to reduce keyword cannibalisation, improve page speed and the user flow throughout the site, using content design principles to give the best possible experience.
We’ve produced and outreached content on important themes and issues for our target audience, including lifestyle, health, moneysaving, technology, loneliness and care costs, as well as assisting with new product launches and provided a proactive and reactive digital PR service that has earned significant relevant coverage and links from national and local outlets.
In the first five months of the campaign, results included:
· +106% increase in organic traffic
· + 516% increase in organic blog traffic
· +60% increase in online revenue

Being shortlisted for four UK Search awards in 2022 is a great way to recognise and celebrate the hard work of our SEO, digital PR and content teams, as well as the fantastic team at TakingCare, throughout the year so far and as we look ahead to the future with them.
Gary Jenkins, MD at No Brainer, said: “As an agency that champions the integration of SEO, Content and Digital PR to achieve client’s objectives online, winning this award would highlight the level of detail, data and dedication No Brainer puts into every client brief.
We’re firm believers that the future of search is based on clever integration of SEO and content marketing techniques, customer data and technical insights and through our work with TakingCare we’ve achieved phenomenal results in such a short space of time.
We’re a relatively small team, so being able to deliver such impressive results and ROI is really testament to the hard work of every individual on the account, as well as our ability to collaborate closely with the client.
The SEO industry is a competitive space, so it’s an honour to be able to submit quality work to this type of award and showcase what we can do here at No Brainer, as well as compete with big names within the field.”
