Ink Digital Fly To New Heights With SEO Travel Nomination

We are very proud to be nominated as a finalist for the second year running at the highly respected UK Search Awards in the ‘Best Use of Search for the Travel and Leisure Industry’ category.

Following our rebrand from Mr Seo to Ink Digital earlier this year, this first recognition since our relaunch for our expanding business has been a great accomplishment for our team in our commitment to delivering an exceptional level of service to our clients all across the UK.

Being nominated in the travel and leisure category is a huge testament to our expertise in the industry. As a very competitive industry that is continuously expanding online, it can be difficult to stand out amongst dominant competitors and know how to achieve success at the right moments as seasonality plays a major part for travel businesses too. Breaking The Ice With Arctic Direct

As a business, we have experience working across many industries, but providing SEO for travel companies is something we particularly excel at.

In October 2022, we began to work with Arctic Direct who are an online luxury arctic travel agency that organises holidays to amazing arctic destinations.

We were tasked with driving more affluent users to the site, as well as improving conversions and establishing Arctic Direct as the go-to company for Northern Lights Holidays. Alongside this, a main objective was to increase their market share as a competitor amongst more established businesses within the travel industry.

The Strategy

Our team was able to achieve Arctic Direct’s objectives due to the strong bespoke strategy that we put in place at the start of the campaign. To drive more affluent users to the site, we needed to understand how this type of user would search and convert. By building out the initial optimisations with luxury based terminology and creating a longer term road map with Northern Lights as a key focus, we were laying the foundations for a successful SEO travel campaign.

As in any industry, there were challenges along the way. One of the main issues with the travel industry is the seasonality and peak periods, which we approached by making sure we were always one step ahead of the game and had our optimisations ready in time.

Results

Using our existing knowledge of the travel industry combined with in-depth keyword research and competitor analysis, we could identify where the gaps in the market were.

The results speak for themselves with a 131% increase in contact form enquiries alongside a 68% increase in website sessions.
