Artemis Marketing is delighted to be shortlisted for Best Local Campaign (SEO) (Large) at the upcoming UK Search Awards.

Artemis Marketing was founded almost 20 years ago by Mike Knivett and Justin Aldridge. Mike was working in the property industry and had hired an SEO agency to support his business growth.  Despite paying this agency a sizeable retainer each month, he found the lack of transparency frustrating. He had no idea what the agency was working on and, more importantly, couldn’t see any measurable results. Talking this over with his friend Justin (who happened to be a Technical SEO expert) they realised they could do a better job for small businesses and Artemis was born.

Laser focus on driving revenue for clients

Artemis has a clear mission: to make sure a client is making money from their websites. Strategies are tailor-made to a client’s needs and budgets.

To ensure visibility on progress, reports are supplied monthly and, most importantly, these are jargon-free. All Artemis clients are supported by a friendly team of SEO experts.

The impact of AI on search has exploded this year and Artemis ensures client websites comply with the latest Google AI and search intent technologies. As well as technical SEO, Artemis offers a full range of digital marketing services including CRO, website design, build or migration, link building and paid media services.

How to pivot a local SEO strategy

When the UK Search Awards nominated client approached Artemis in 2016 their target area was purely Surrey and London so a campaign was built to support growth in this area only.  The team worked closely with the client to understand their target audience and created a successful strategy that exceeded business goals.

In 2022, following a decision by the owner to move to Sussex, the business strategy had to pivot to include the Sussex region.

Successfully expanding the SEO reach of a high-performing business is challenging – especially when working with very tight timeframes. It was a challenge for the team, but they were determined to succeed.

The results were phenomenal, resulting in a fourfold increase in local monthly enquiries.

The client was delighted to provide a glowing testimonial “Artemis dramatically increased our visibility and rankings in Sussex. This influx of new business has skyrocketed our annual revenue.”

Team dedication is the key to success

Artemis is now a 25-strong team based in Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex. The team has supported over 130 clients across the UK and internationally.  Artemis has an enviable client retention rate and is very proud of its 160+ 5* reviews on FreeIndex.

On being a UK Search Awards finalist, Mike said “We’re delighted to be shortlisted for the #UKSearchAwards Best Local SEO Campaign (Large).

“Since I started Artemis almost 20 years ago we’ve wanted to make the main focus to be helping our clients make tangible returns from their websites.

“Being a finalist in such a prestigious award reflects the dedication of the amazing team at Artemis Marketing that makes this happen for our clients.”
