Turning Ideas into Impact: How Jooble’s Innovation Earned Three UK Search Awards Nominations

When Jooble’s team set out to make job searching smarter, they didn’t imagine their work would soon be recognised at one of the industry’s most respected stages – the UK Search Awards.

This year, Jooble has been shortlisted in three categories:

  • Best Software Innovation
  • Best PPC Management Software Suite
  • Best AI Search Software Solution

For a company whose mission is simple but ambitious – to help people find work – and whose vision is to be the place where jobs & talents meet, these nominations are a celebration of what happens when purpose meets innovation.

From Startup Dream to Global Platform

Jooble’s story began in 2006, when two students in Kyiv, Ukraine, wanted to make job searching easier. What started as a small side project quickly grew into a global employment platform.

Today, Jooble operates in 66 countries, uniting millions of job seekers with opportunities from thousands of sources every single day.

Nearly two decades later, Jooble ranks among the top 10 most popular employment resources in the world, according to SimilarWeb. But even as it scaled, Jooble stayed true to its roots – continuously asking, how can technology make the job search experience better?

That question has driven the company’s engineers, data scientists, and product managers to build tools that change how people find and post jobs. And it is exactly that mindset that led to three groundbreaking innovations – each now recognised by the UK Search Awards.

Project Sentinel Guard”: Making Invisible Jobs Visible

It started with a puzzle.

Every week, Jooble’s team saw thousands of job listings missing a key piece of information – a clear profession. Roughly one in five postings lacked one, even though most users included a profession in their search queries. That meant thousands of great opportunities were invisible to the very people looking for them – and companies were losing visibility on roles they needed to fill.

So Jooble built Sentinel Guard, an AI-powered system that reads and understands incomplete job postings – then intelligently assigns them up to three matching professions. Using vector-based matching and taxonomy validation, Sentinel Guard enhances listings without changing what recruiters write.

Developed in just a few months, it’s already helping Jooble surface thousands of previously hidden job ads across multiple markets.

Behind this innovation lies something deeper: a commitment to fairness and visibility. Sentinel Guard gives every job a chance to be seen – and every job seeker and employer a better chance to find each other.

Project SULLY”: Automating Growth Without Losing the Human Touch

If Sentinel Guard was born out of curiosity, SULLY was born out of necessity.

Managing PPC campaigns for a global job search platform is complex. There are thousands of landing pages, millions of keywords, and constant budget shifts. The team needed a smarter way to work – one that would let them focus on creativity and strategy instead of repetitive manual tasks.

Enter SULLY, short for System of Unified Landing Links Yielding. Built entirely in-house, SULLY integrates directly with Jooble’s job search infrastructure. It automatically identifies high-demanding categories, reallocates advertising budgets, and updates feeds in real time.

By streamlining operations, SULLY gives Jooble’s marketing specialists the freedom to experiment, innovate, and grow campaigns efficiently without expanding headcount.

SULLY proved that automation does not replace people, instead, it empowers them to do their best work.

LLM-Assisted Gold Standard: Teaching AI to Find Better Jobs

The third shortlisted innovation tackles one of the hardest problems in search technology: how to train algorithms to truly understand relevance.

Traditionally, improving search ranking requires massive datasets labelled by human assessors – a slow and costly process. Jooble’s engineers wondered: could AI itself become the teacher?

Their answer was the LLM-Assisted Gold Standard Dataset Creation, a system that uses Large Language Models (LLMs) as “artificial assessors”. Instead of relying on human teams, Jooble’s LLMs generate hundreds of thousands of high-quality labelled query–job pairs, creating a synthetic but reliable training dataset.

These are then fed directly into Jooble’s Learning-to-Rank pipeline, improving search accuracy and consistency across all markets.

Built in just a few months by a small, focused team, the system demonstrates how creativity, speed, and AI can come together to deliver measurable impact at scale.

Innovation with a Human Heart

At the heart of all three projects lies a single belief: that technology should make finding work simpler, faster, and fairer for everyone.

Jooble’s 280+ professionals, working across offices and locations around the world, are united by one shared goal — to remove barriers between people and opportunity. Every department, from engineering to marketing, contributes to the same purpose: helping people find work and helping businesses make their jobs more visible to the right candidates.

For Jooble, the UK Search Awards nominations are both a milestone and a motivation. Each category represents a different dimension of innovation — discovery, efficiency, and intelligence — and together, they tell a single story of progress.

  • Sentinel Guard turns invisible opportunities into visible ones.
  • SULLY turns complexity into clarity.
  • The LLM-Assisted Dataset turns AI from a tool into a teacher.

All of them move Jooble closer to its vision of a world where every person can find work quickly, confidently, and without limits — where jobs and talents truly meet.

Dmytro Gryn, CEO of Jooble, Job Aggregator, says:Being shortlisted in three categories at the UK Search Awards is a true reflection of the talent, drive, and collaboration within our team. Each of these developments was built and integrated in just a few months, showing how much can be achieved when people believe in a shared purpose. Well continue to learn, develop, and innovate, because at Jooble, progress never stands still.”

Looking Ahead to London

The UK Search Awards ceremony will take place on December 3rd in London, bringing together some of the brightest minds in the digital and search industries.

For Jooble’s team, it is more than an event; it is rather a celebration of shared effort, creativity, and purpose. Whether they bring home trophies or not, these nominations mark an important chapter in Jooble’s journey to make job searching better for millions around the globe.

Because at Jooble, innovation is not about chasing awards, it is about creating impact.
And that is a story worth celebrating.
